We’re really proud of our School Council, who’ve been granted a special Silver Award by North Tyneside Council for the work they’ve done in school and the local community.

As a reward for their determination, the School Council members will get to visit the Houses of Parliament in London, next week.
School Council member Jodie Tuffin from Year 10 said: “I am extremely proud of our achievement. We have been working incredibly hard all year and we are glad that all of our hard work has paid off.”

The team from North Tyneside Council praised the School Council’s work, particularly around fundraising for national and local charities including food banks. They also commended the School Council on their work with the local community including their monthly ‘Young at Heart’ lunch club, winter support network and Power Rangers energy ambassadors training with Meadowell Connect.

When our School Council visit the Houses of Parliament, they’ll get to meet North Tyneside MP Alan Campbell, have a tour of Parliament and take part in democracy and voting workshops.

We can’t wait to see the pictures!
