Year 7 pupils brought the "Science Through the Lens project" to a close with an amazing showcase in front of parents, teachers and external partners. The pupils had worked tirelessly to prepare their displays and worked so hard on being ready for any question which was to be asked about the work and research they had done.

Visitors listened to an opening speech from three members of the class, introducing what they had been working on and what they were about to showcase.  They then showed a short video before the visitors moved around the carousel of displays and talked to each group to find out exactly what it takes to "run the Great North Run".

The visitors who included the millionth finisher of the GNR, Tracey Crammond were all very impressed with the confidence and professionalism that all the pupils showed during the event.

Lucy Johnson who organised the event said "what a great way to showcase the impact of employer engagement and bringing careers closer to the classroom".
