COV-19 – Safeguarding measures

In the event of pupil absence due to self-isolation and/or school closure, outlined below are the safeguarding measures in place to continue to protect our young people and their families at this difficult time:

  • All families that currently receive our support will be contacted weekly, sometimes more frequently, by an allocated member of the Norham Pastoral team so we can offer any advice or practical help. This is very likely to be the staff member that currently directly supports the family.
  • All students will receive a leaflet that outlines local and national safeguarding and support services, this has been provided within pupil work packs.  An electronic copy of this can be found in the ‘Safeguarding’ section of the school website.
  • An email address for reporting safeguarding concerns is detailed below. This is for students, parents, carer’s and our wider community to use to report any concerns. This email account will be staffed and actioned by the Norham safeguarding team
  • All Norham staff will continue to use internal systems to monitor and report any safeguarding concerns in order to continue to keep our young people safe.
