What is Connexions?

Connexions is a confidential advice and support service for 13-19 year olds (and up to age 25 for young people with special needs).

Connexions offers you advice and support on education, training, careers, employment, health and personal development opportunities.

What is a Connexions Adviser?

Connexions Advisers can offer you information and guidance to help you make positive choices about your future.

A Connexions Adviser is someone who will get to know you and offer the information and guidance that is best for you as an individual. If you need particular support to overcome barriers to learning, your Connexions Adviser can put you in touch with the right people.

 

Connexions Service at Norham

Jackie Ambrose and Helen Heslop are our Norham Connexion Advisers based in the Connexion office on the second floor at Norham.

 

So, what should you be doing now to help you decide what to do after Year 11?

 

Think about:

       Your expected grades. What do your teachers think you will achieve?

       What you like doing at school and in your spare time … and what you don’t like doing!

       How do you prefer to learn? Exams or coursework, practical or studying?

       What career ideas you have?
